The aim of the Guild is to invite and encourage women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and to enable them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action.

Meetings in The South Hall, Kirkintilloch Road at 7:30 p.m. on alternate Thursdays and as otherwise indicated.

The Session started with two very interesting and different talks - one on the Glasgow Boys; another a visit to three Scottish Islands. Unfortunately the Paramedic Stuart Herbison had to cancel so we had an enjoyable evening entertaining ourselves with quizzes, etc.

We continue our programme with a talk on the first of the projects we are supporting this year - A Chaplain for our Ports - and the speaker is Rebecca Haldane and on November 14th Rev Jane Howitt will speak to us - her subject - Journeys. We will hear about the Tenement House on November 28th.

Our coffee morning will be on Saturday 16th November and tickets for this will be on sale shortly.

The National Council Carol Service is in Glasgow this year - on Friday 6th December in St. George's Tron Church. This is proving to be such a popular event there will be three Services - two in the afternoon and one in the evening and we hope we will be lucky enough to be allocated tickets.

As usual, anyone who would like to join us would be most welcome as would anyone interested in any of the subjects or speakers.
