The aim of the Guild is to invite and encourage women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and to enable them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action.
Meetings in The South Hall, Kirkintilloch Road at 7:30 p.m. on alternate Thursdays and as otherwise indicated.
By the time you read this our very busy spell will be behind us. Our joint meeting with the Guilds from Kenmure and Springfield Cambridge was very well attended and we were given a very moving insight into what is now happening in SREBRENICA by The Very Rev Dr. Lorna Hood and Kezia Dugdale MSP.
Our Coffee Morning was also a great success and very well supported. We thank everyone who donated baking, items for the tea room and the stalls or who came along to enjoy a morning with friends.
The first half of our programme is almost over as we are in the run up to Christmas. Lyn Dunachie will be with us on the 29th November and her subject is The Tapestry of Scotland and on the 13th December it is our Christmas night when our organist Jose Javier Ucendo Malo with some friends will be entertaining us.
Our 2019 programme starts on Thursday 10th January when the speakers are Rev. John and Susan MacGregor and their subject will be their recent trip to NEPAL. On Thursday 24th January we are having a speaker to tells us about the second project we are supporting this year - Malawi Fruits.
Some of us are looking forward to The Big Sing in either Airdrie or Edinburgh and the Council Carol Service is a bit nearer home on Monday 3rd December in Lenzie Union Church at 7pm.
As always, anyone who is interested in any of our meetings will be made most welcome.
We wish you all a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas and a Good 2019.
