Our Sunday Service is video-recorded each week and posted on YouTube - so even if you can't make it in person, you can still catch up virtually.

The Sunday Service

We have the privilege of worshipping in a lovely building in an amazingly peaceful location beside the Forth and Clyde Canal, surrounded by beautifully carved wood and high quality stained glass.

Our weekly worship service is held every Sunday at 10.30 a.m. Our minister, John, retired in April 2025 so, for now, we welcome visiting ministers each Sunday to lead us in worship, with music from Javier Jose Ucendo Malo MMus and our church choir.

The service usually lasts around an hour and begins when the minister walks up to the chancel, followed by the church officer who brings in the Bible (those who are able usually stand up for this part). We will often enjoy an introit from Jose and the church choir, followed by a welcome from the minister and the weekly intimations. From then on, the service is a mix of hymns, prayers, Bible readings and the main sermon.

The children's address happens after the first hymn. After the second hymn, children who wish to go to Sunday school exit the church with the team leaders to walk up to the North Hall for further activities and a snack.

We have two large screens installed on either side of the chancel in the church. These screens are used to share intimations, hymns and other service content. If you prefer, you're welcome to read hymns from our traditional hymn books; you can get one from our friendly, welcoming team when you enter the building each Sunday.

For those who would like to share in fellowship with our church community, teas and coffees are served after the service in the North Hall (located on the other side of the canal from the church).

If you're interested in doing a Bible reading during our Sunday service, or if you could spare some time to help serve tea and coffee after the service, we're always looking for volunteers. Please add your name to the list in the church vestibule (where you enter the building) any Sunday.

The Choir

The church choir meets on Sunday mornings at 9 am.

We sing an introit each week as well as anthems throughout the year and several pieces at Advent and Christmas.

As with all church choirs, we are looking for new members, so if you enjoy singing in church please do think about joining us - speak to one of our choir members any Sunday. You don't have to be able to read music so don't let that hold you back.
