Morning Worship

Here is a recording of our Sunday Morning Service on 15 May 2022 on YouTube. This link will be on the website until next Sunday.

Christian Aid 2022

The Fellowship Team recently discussed ways in which we could support Christian Aid Week, and the idea of us collectively walking, cycling, swimming 500 miles for Christian Aid and for donations towards Christian Aid being made towards the efforts of those doing this. The Cadder 500 event is planned for the morning of Saturday June 11th meeting at the north hall 9-9.30 am and leaving there to do our various activities. For those who can't manage this date, if you could do your own activity on a date that is convenient to yourself and let the minister or fellowship team know how many lengths, and miles you have managed to do.

If you wish to donate to our Christian Aid Appeal this year, one of the ways that you can do this is through a Just Giving Link set up by Ian Watt. If you give through Ian's kiltwalk link, the Hunter Foundation will add an extra 50% to your donation.

The Kiltwalk/Just Giving link is:

Queens Platinum Jubilee

The Fellowship Team is also planning a fun event to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee on Saturday 28th May from 2-4 p.m. There will be afternoon teas served in the coffee shop and games and fun in the hall for our younger folks.

Growing Cadder Church

In Cadder Church we are working to focus on the Church of Scotland's 5 Marks of Mission to grow our future. The marks are Teach, Tell, Tend, Transform and Treasure. To help us achieve this the Kirk Session has decided to reshape what we do and how we do it. Our Vision is that in 5 years' time the spiritual life of the church will be growing strong and deep, offering multi-generational worship and fellowship opportunities. Please take a look at the information sheet Growing Cadder Church - Shape and Share the Future which tells you what is happening and how you can make a contribution.

Cadder Shopping Service

The Cadder shopping service has been running since March 2020 and has now made over 300 deliveries during the period of lockdown and more recent restrictions. After some discussion about the service, the church is going to continue to provide the shopping and prescription service in the upcoming months. The service is now being offered as a pastoral care service, not just in response to the current pandemic. So, for any shopping needs you may have as we go into the autumn, please just call the number below on either of the designated days.

We are making some changes to the way the service is provided. Through October and November 2020, the shopping line will be open to take orders from 10am to 5pm on a Monday and Thursday each week. We will have a new dedicated phone number for the service from Thursday, 1st October: 07539 015828. Gillian Crompton will still be taking shopping calls but this will allow someone else to take orders if Gillian happens to be unavailable.

Your shopping will be delivered within 48 hours of your order being placed. End of the month payment arrangements will continue as before.

Please do feel free to use the service whenever it could be of assistance to you.

Many thanks,

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

This box contains current information about decisions that have had to be made because of the coronavirus.

Please read this document which explains support, e.g. shopping or picking up prescriptions, which Cadder Church is offering to members and folk associated with Cadder.

Cadder Church is part of the Church of Scotland. We have a long history but while we value our heritage, we are even more interested in facing up to the challenges of serving God today and tomorrow.

We have the privilege of worshipping in a lovely building in an amazingly peaceful location beside the Forth and Clyde Canal, surrounded by beautifully carved wood and high quality stained glass.

We also have the privilege and responsibility of serving God within the busy community of Bishopbriggs, of showing his love and goodness by caring for our neighbours in partnership with other churches. The panel on the left will tell you some of the stories of how we seek to do that.

We value our website visitors but if you live anywhere near or are visiting the area, please come and see us in person.

Thank you again for visiting our site. Explore and enjoy!
